SoulCollage Facilitator training

 I've begun completing the prerequisites for SoulCollage facilitator training! Yikes!! 

I think I've been interested in this since getting Seena Frost's Soul Collage book in November 2008, and beginning to create cards! I've thought of becoming a facilitator off and on - now the call is strong! 

Red Thread Circle hosts Cindy, Susan and Valerie have all been encouraging and supportive - and it's a great compliment to Intentional Creativity.

Prerequisites for SoulCollage facilitator course
  • I made this set of prerequisite inspiration cards, to track my progress.
  • I've ordered Soul Collage Evolving, and have been watching various SC clips with practioners on YouTube

  • Last week, I contacted Glenda Goodrich, who offered my first in-person SoulCollage class. We've scheduled a coaching sesion at the beginning of October, to go over the Key Concepts and fundamentals.
  • I've made and 'met' over a dozen cards this year (and close to 100 since 2008 - I need to retrieve my collection from storage!) 
  • I recently rejoined KaleidoSoul, which I belonged to in the early days - it's a great resource, with lots of membership classes and perks! 
  • And - my Intentional Creativity friend and SC facilitator Valerie Kravette is passing on some of her audio materials!

When Valerie and I were in Color of Woman a decade ago, we were encouraged to, 'Create a business plan using your winged eye – you have to know how to look with a visionary lens to craft a business that reflects who YOU are.' I'll be visioning into a current plan.

As I follow the Red Thread, and embark on this new phase of my Soul Collage and teaching journey, I plan to tap that visionary wisdom as I find my unique approach!

    I've been putting together a series of products to submit to a marketplace created by someone I know online. I had been wonderful and stressful at the same time. Congrats on your study of soul collage!

      Oh, that's kool, Jeanine - and yes, wonderful and stressful! Thanks for the good wishes!
      Yesterday a friend and I had lunch (Gluten free bakery!) and visited the preview art show for our upcoming Art Harvest Studio tour - so fun to see a few of each Artist's work. I've often thought of being on the tour, again - exciting and 'yikes!!'

Word of the Year

  For Several years, my friend Kathleen has offered a Word of the Year Playshop at our church in January.  She generally uses a more linear approach - using Dictionaries and Thesauri, after a quick review and release of any 'baggage' from the year just past ... This year , she invited a friend who facilitates Soul Collage (tm) to join us, and we chose images! Both Kathleen and Deandra brought a bunch of images from magazines, cards and calendars, and laid them out on several tables,  for us to gather from.  Card size is general 5×7" or 5x8" and we could choose from several colours of mat board for our background . Other materials included an index card, glue sticks and scissors.  My workstation We did a quick year review and release, then choose images, and started to fine tune and arrange them. After we'd glued the images, we paired up, and one of the dyad acted as scribe for the other:  I am the one who .. .. My partner, used to a more linear and 'heady'...

I've got a Plan!

Last April, after the start of our  Artist in Residence time , Shiloh Sophia and her own business coach Amy Ahlers offered a creativity based business class called Dancing Entrepreneur. While most gals were from our creative community, several other creatives joined us. Posts which really caught my eye were of  Karen Dawn 's Visual Planning system , and I joined her Beta Test group on crafting similar systems of our own! I love Karen's creative approach to planning! (Her  blog  includes some of these teachings! She also introduced me to Neurographica!) Vision Plan Board My visual planner is on a foam board left over from a vision board class, and holds my Medicine Basket, one of the Dancing Entrepreneur action cards, a couple of Neuro-Noodles plus - pockets. Who doesn't love these little pockets? The clothesline is a ribbon, and I simply taped the ends to the back of the board using painter's tape! Energizing intention

  A few weeks ago, I crafted a card in a Word of the Year playshop with my friend Kathleen.... and I'm excited to join our own  Cindy Jacobs  in a year long journey to  energize our Words, using Soul Collage™ and Intentional Creativity! (Here's a SoulCollage card I made in 2010!) Queen bee During each of our monthly classes, we'll use creative processes to gain further insights into working with our Words, and keep the energy of our intentions alive.  In our first session this Friday, we'll explore the theme of our ’inner Visionary’  creating and 'meeting' a Soul Collage™ Visionary card. Time will be allotted for Journaling, and crafting background papers for several Mixed Media visionary cards. Cindy has chosen a Word of the Year for 14 years, and loves using creative processes to explore and  activate  her words!
