  Yesterday we   graduated   from our SoulCollage® facilitator training ! WOOT! We were warmly welcomed into the net of over 6000 facilitators, in 64 countries!  The month of our training has gone by both quickly and slowly - what a enriching experience! I've met some lovely friends along the way, and am excited about the many ways to deepen and connect, built into the  World of  SoulCollage®  Community.  Card Spiral and Sweetgrass   A few years after beginning to create cards in 2008, I joined the KaleidoSoul community (on Yahoo!). I joined again last summer, and added a couple of Anne Marie Bennett's SoulCollage®, books to my collection in the fall.    For the last 6 years, my friend Kathleen has offered a Word of the Year Playshop at our church. In 2023 my  word was  Weave , in 2024,  Balance  (Kauliki), and 2025,  Connect. In earlier years Kathleen offered a linear approach - using Dictionaries and Thesauri to look up possibilities, after a quick review and releasing 'baggage' from the year just past. After choosing our Words, we wrote them on small cards, adding some bling.  Last year, and this, we've used SoulCollage® in the discovery process.  For 2025 , Kathleen invited her friend and facilitator Deandra Ellerbe to lead us in the process. This year, knowing I was taking facilitator training, Kathleen invited me to lead it with her.  Participants making cards It made for a full day!  Our  facilitator training  began this morning, from 8:30-noon. Serpentine Path In talk therapy, we can spend hours, months , even years reflecting and analyzing ... until the cows come home!  When we add inquiry and creative processes, a desired shift becomes actionable - you're ’re not just talking about your life, you can transform it! Dance of color In Medicine painting, we take energetic conditions, and learn together how to move that energy through, contain it, catalyse and change  it, distil it, and bottle it. And at the end, we have a medicine cabinet  of our own making. This metaphor of self-as-container opens a new layer of insight.   I first met Rosie and Olivia when I journied to California for our Color of Woman graduation in 2015. Rosie - coming from New Zealand -booked our stay in a lovely lodge on the Russian River!  In 2025, Rosie is coming to the states again, and will connect with SiStars along the way too co-facilitate classes in our respective states, and i n Oregon, Olivia and I will be her co-hosts! It's crazy to think it's been a decade since we meet (& 4 years since I offered a painting class in person.) In the Still Room - 1st Apothecary   For our theme, Rosie suggested we offer  Apothecary, a process of ' alchemizing our access to inner knowing, using creativity as the path and vessel.'   We will   set out to explore how each of us gains access to this inner knowing, and uses it to transform old stories into healing elixirs .
